Herofest is an organizer of live action role-playing (LARP) festival weekends that offer the excitement of a festival combined with the depth of an established campaign world. The events are designed for participants to become part of a Faction, an adventuring team that has a series of missions that may involve opposing or allying with other Factions. Participants can join an existing Faction or start their own if they can garner enough support. Factions are limited to 20 members, and all players have an equal number of hits regardless of experience level. With a variety of missions, players may find themselves as allies in the morning only to be foes in the afternoon. The result is an immersive LARP experience that offers both fun and rich detail.
